The Biblical Studies Session is designed to introduce the student to the rigors of Biblical study and the importance of having Biblical foundations. This Session includes courses on hermeneutics, surveys of the Old and New Testaments. The students will walk through the Redemptive story and consider key biblical themes in order to gain a deeper perspective of how the Gospel continues to work in the world today. It is upon this foundation that the student will then begin to understand the role of vocation and calling within the greater salvific story and how the kingdom of God is expanded through Christians embracing their call to life and work. Each course will use a text and the Bible as the spine of the studies to explore the topic at hand.
This course explores the discipline of Christian apologetics, equipping students to thoughtfully and confidently defend their faith in a diverse and skeptical world. Through an examination of biblical, historical, philosophical, and scientific perspectives, students will engage with key topics such as the existence of God, the reliability of Scripture, the problem of evil, and the uniqueness of Jesus Christ. Emphasis will be placed on cultivating a reasoned faith that is both intellectually credible and personally transformative, enabling students to articulate their beliefs with clarity, compassion, and conviction in a variety of cultural contexts.
At heart of the Worldview Institute is the importance of personal growth and development through the utilization of practical and spiritual disciplines. Starting with the premise that people are liturgical beings, the courses within this module are geared toward helping students establish strong disciplines centered on the word of God. These courses will offer a framework with which to understand the importance of the historical spiritual disciplines of prayer, Bible study, and local church participation.
This course is designed to equip students with the skills and qualities necessary for effective leadership and management in any organizational setting. Through engaging lessons, interactive workshops, and practical experiences, students will delve into the characteristics that define successful leaders and managers.
Central to the course are the 4 C’s of Organizational Culture—Caring, Clarity, Communication, and Consistency—key pillars that shape a thriving and cohesive work environment. Students will learn how to cultivate these elements within a team to foster innovation, trust, and shared purpose.
Additionally, the course introduces the 4 P’s of Operational Systems—People, Processes, Productivity, and Profit. These operational fundamentals will guide students in building efficient systems, managing resources effectively, and driving measurable results.
By integrating these frameworks with real-world applications, students will gain the confidence and tools to lead with vision, manage with precision, and contribute meaningfully to organizational success.
Good financial stewardship is a core discipline for life and work. It is this philosophical principle that drives the Finance Session at WVI. The aim of this Session is to help build good financial habits in the student by laying the foundation of personal financial management. But more than that, this class provides a holistic approach to the working world within which students will also learn how to build a resume, how to look for a job, and interview as well. Upon completion of the personal financial study, students will be introduced to the larger conversation of business finances and apply the same Biblical principles as taught in the personal finance course. The ultimate aim in this module is to introduce the basic understanding of finance while undergirding the practical application with a robust Biblical worldview.

This course is designed to equip students with essential computer skills needed for academic, professional, and personal success in a digital world. Students will gain hands-on experience with key tools such as Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Excel, Canva, and PowerPoint, mastering word processing, formatting, and creating polished presentations and visuals. The course also covers effective email organization and communication strategies, professional networking on LinkedIn, and foundational skills for writing letters and citations. By the end of the course, students will have developed a versatile digital skills to enhance productivity, collaboration, and professional growth.
This course empowers students to unlock their full potential by combining self-awareness tools with practical career-building strategies. Using DISC and Birkman assessments, students will gain insights into their behavioral styles, motivations, and strengths, while the Working Genius framework will help identify their natural areas of productivity and fulfillment. These self-discovery tools will be paired with practical resume-building techniques, enabling students to craft compelling personal and professional profiles. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped to understand themselves better, communicate effectively, and present their unique strengths to employers or collaborators with confidence. Throughout the spring, students will be inspired as they participate in live workshops with local entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs. Students will hear from ministry leaders, missionaries, business professionals, artists, those with thriving businesses, those with start-ups, and more! Each workshop will focus on building skills and recognizing the importance of perspective, the value of leadership, and how to build resilience in the face of adversity. These inspiring sessions will both motivate and inspire students as they launch into a new season.

During the first year, we will engage in ministry as a team as an extension of our leadership development coursework. The goal in this semester is to expose students to the large variety of ministries within the county, acquaint students with the needs and missions of the ministries we visit, cultivate a heart of service, strengthen teamwork, and develop leadership skills as students work together towards a common goal.
During the second year, students will take part in a missions trip to South America in conjunction with a local missions organization. Upon the return of from that trip in the fall, the students will work in teams to organize, coordinate and lead the year one students as they participate in local missions.
This humanities style classics module will explore the literary works of the world's greatest thinkers, both past and present. Literature is a gateway into the mind of a culture as it both reflects upon and shapes society. Through a thorough study of great works, students will gain an appreciation for the many elements found within each genre of literature and, most importantly, reflect upon each piece within a Biblical framework. This session will also offer a brief overview of the historical underpinnings of each work while assisting the student in understanding the cultural chains of influence that have resulted in the current worldview found in the Western mind. This course will also provide students with the knowledge and thinking skills needed to navigate cultural issues. A number of literature pieces will be explored and will be accompanied by several writing assignments.
This course invites students to engage deeply with modern cultural challenges through the lens of historical theology and philosophical analysis. Anchored by readings from Household and the War for the Cosmos and Strange New World, students will explore the underlying narratives shaping contemporary society and critique them in light of a robust theological framework. Through careful reading, synthesis, and critical discussion, students will evaluate the philosophical assumptions of modern culture, examining their implications for identity, community, and worldview. By bridging historical theology with cultural critique, the course equips students to thoughtfully navigate and respond to the pressing issues of our time.
This course provides an in-depth exploration of the mission, values, and purpose that drive businesses, examining how these foundational principles shape organizational identity and impact. Students will analyze the Decisions, eNergy, and Actions (DNA) of businesses, and work to examine the structure, culture, and operational frameworks found within the market. They will also evaluate ethical and decision-making processes. Through case studies, discussions, and practical projects, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of how businesses can align their Biblical values with sustainable success and social responsibility. The course equips students with the tools to assess and contribute to organizations that prioritize ethical integrity and meaningful impact in the marketplace.
Startbook, is an entrepreneurial resource written book that is used by organizations around the world to "affirm dignity and reduce poverty." This book will be used as the spine of this course to introduce students to the the character, habits and traits that should be developed in order to develop and grow businesses. Training with this resource is a prerequisite to our missions trip during year 2.

Additionally, personal practices will be introduced that will focus on leadership and management development focusing on the eight tenants of becoming an effective leader/ manager.
Our local communities are abounding with opportunities to serve others and it is part of our mission to do just that! From engaging with local ministries that serve residents of Lancaster to those that serve internationally, it is our hope and prayer that engaging in acts of service throughout our program will help to cultivate habits of service within the lives of our students. As a group we will participate in monthly service projects as we raise awareness of community needs and cultivate habits of service for the purpose expanding the gospel through loving God and loving neighbor.

These inspiring sessions will both motivate and inspire students as they launch launch into a new season.
Sometimes navigating new experiences can warrant more questions than answers. In this round table, students will connect with each other and their teachers as they contemplate cultural issues, workplace difficulties, conflict management, handle work relationships, knowing how and when to advocate for themselves, understanding the nature of their businesses, and having a reasonable defense for their faith. In addition, each student will work with a personal mentor at their local church to help navigate their biblical understanding and spiritual growth.
